Bob: “A score worth keeping. What should I put in the flight log?”
Flight details
Asteroid moving right. Match its horizontal velocity.
One asteroid. One pickup.
The asteroid drifts steadily right. Land on the beacon pad, hold while the arm retrieves salvage, then climb into the extraction corridor with the extra weight.
Fly with keys or touch
A / D or ← / → for lateral thrust. W, ↑ or Space to thrust up and brake your descent. S or ↓ to thrust down. Opposite vertical controls cancel. P pauses, R resets. Touchdown limits are shown above for each mission.
Two landings. One complete mission.
Complete a manual salvage run to set your first score.

How scoring works
Site landing 30%, return landing 30%, fuel 25%, time 15%. The Long Way Home awards 60% for its return landing. Landings combine position (35%), vertical speed (35%), sideways speed (20%) and alignment (10%) against their safe limits. Full fuel credit at 15% reserve; proportional below that. Time: 1,500 x min(1, mission target / total flight seconds), including transfer, excluding pauses.
Gold 8,500; silver 7,000; bronze 5,000. Only completed manual runs qualify. Fuel exhaustion, crashes and demos never qualify. Separate boards per mission, condition and rules version. Overall sums each pilot's best per mission, up to 100,000. The local preview server replays flight controls and persists completed runs. This verifies the flight, not human identity. Test runs and demonstrations are excluded from normal boards.
